The Safety Crisis for Women Legislators
Serving in state legislature demands a lot from the people who serve.
We’ve spoken with over 300 women legislators from every state across the country. They’ve shared with us:
- the realities they face in serving;
- the lack of ways to report, track, and respond to these incidents;
- the desire to have technology solutions to address this quickly and effectively.
Here’s a glimpse by the numbers:
- 82.9% of women legislators have been harassed
- 73.2% have received threats of violence
- 58.5% have encountered stalking and intimidation
- 34.1% have been doxxed
